Pivotal Moments

We are all products of moments and events that define who we are and how we view the world around us. Some experiences lay dormant only to reemerge and influence us in unexpected ways. Others are profound, their impact immediate and visceral.

A part of me revels in the pure physicality of materials. It is that same quality in every child upon discovering the world around them. The connection between content and materials is intriguing. What began with a desire to use objects and materials to emphasize the emotional intensity snowballed into a creative philosophy that continues to inform my work.
