Drawing is, in essence, pure creation in it's most distilled form. There are no machines, no intervening devices to come between the creator and the created. The drag of charcoal against paper is tactile, immediate, and real. Such is drawing at its most elemental. Its fascination lays in its power to affirm the nascent image while declaring the presence of the mark-maker as well.
